Microneedling

Introduction

Micro-Needling is an advanced fractional needling treatment that increases the skin’s production of collagen. The treatment method is also more in-depth than microdermabrasion and chemical peels.

What can be treated?

Examples of what we can treat:

  • Enlarged pores
  • Scars
  • Acne scar
  • Pigment refinements
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Fine lines, wrinkles
  • Loose and aged skin increases collagen
  • Dry or dehydrated skin
  • Dull or tired skin, restoring radiance/glow

How is the treatment done?

A Micro Needling treatment involves 12 sterile disposable needles creating up to 1400 microchannels per second into the skin. Depending on the skin area/condition being treated, the needles go different depths into the skin. The microchannels allow active substances such as hyaluronic acid to be delivered deep into the skin and have an inherent stimulating effect on the formation of collagen and elastin in the skin.

Why should you choose a skin booster?

Over time, our stressful daily lives can manifest on our faces. The skin loses its vitality and flexibility, and the first wrinkles appear. The skin consists of several layers, and as we age, the deeper layers begin to lose their vital substances such as hyaluronic acid and collagen. Damage in the deeper layers of the skin becomes visible on the skin’s surface in the form of dry skin, diminished skin tone, and fine lines, which in turn leads to an aged appearance.

What is transcutaneous application?

It is a minimally invasive technique that allows penetration of the epidermis and dermis to deliver active ingredients where they have the greatest effect. The products can be applied topically in classic treatments or combined with devices such as microneedling, iontophoresis, radiofrequency, or ultrasound. During microneedling, microchannels are created in the epidermis, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin. The small vibrations from microneedling stimulate the skin’s healing and repair processes, leading to the natural production of collagen and elastin.

Result

Usually, 5-6 treatments at intervals of 4-6 weeks are required to achieve optimal results. Many see results after the first treatment. More lasting results will occur after 3-6 treatments.

Tips! If you want to enhance the effect of this treatment, it is recommended that you make a chemical peeling about 2 weeks before your first treatment.
Also, important to follow up at home with the right skincare products for your skin type. Personal advice is given during treatment.
